    Gary & Bill Jennings accompanied with one of their rebuilders, Richard Bennington attended the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association's annual convention and trade show at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. This annual trade show presents all the latest equipment, tools, parts and techniques to keep their attendees on the leading edge of technology. Over six days they attended countless educational seminars, spoke to and learned from the transmission industry's leading educators and scoured the trade shows' floor so they could bring all the latest technology back to their customers.

    Jim Jennings Transmissions was presented a top service award at the Chesapeake Gateway Chamber of Commerce's annual membership banquet. Governor Hogan provided the keynote address and then recognized several outstanding groups for their community service and outstanding contributions to their respective industries. On hand to accept the award from the governor were Gary and Joyce Jennings, Bill Jennings and key members of their staff. Those team members included John Chalk, William (Charles Dukeman) and Doug Koerner. Gary and Bill gave all the credit for their outstanding customer service to their staff and the actions and attitudes set in motion by their late father .... Jim Jennings. Gary and Joyce?s son, State Senator JB Jennings was also on hand to congratulate his family for their outstanding dedication to superior customer service.

    Jim's grandson, JB Jennings, was reelected to the Maryland Senate representing northeastern Baltimore County and southern Harford County. This election cycle will be his fifth serving the 7th Legislative District.

    Jim's grandson, JB Jennings was chosen by the Republican members of the Maryland Senate to be their leader for the upcoming Legislative Session. JB has a strong reputation for his honesty and integrity and is now on the powerful Finance committee.

  • 10/2/2012 ATRA Convention & Trade Show

    ATRA (the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association) is the only non-profit trade association with the specific mission of training professionals in our industry. Gary Jennings and Rick Bennington just returned from their convention and trade show held at The Bally's Hotel in Las Vegas. They attended four days of seminars and scoured the trade show floor for the latest tools, equipment and parts to help insure Jim Jennings Transmissions stays on the "leading edge" of technology. In order to be the best, we constantly have to be the best trained, the best equipped and use the best parts. The show was fantastic and next year will be in Washington, DC.

    Our family would like all our friends and loyal customers to know that our dad, Jim Jennings, passed away on February 23, 2012. Dad had been suffering from alzheimer's disease for the past six years. He passed away at home and his life was celebrated at the Brudzinki Funeral Home on February 25th with all his friends. We think dad will be proud that his sons, Gary and Bill, and his grandson Jared, will continue to take wonderful care of all our customers just as has been done for the last 54 years.

    JB Jennings, Jim's grandson, was successful in his bid for the republican nomination to run for the Maryland senate seat in the 7th legislative district. JB gave up his seat as a state delegate he had held for the last eight years to run for the seat being vacated by senator Andy Harris.

    Jb's opponent in the race was former state delegate and Maryland insurance commissioner, Al Redmer. JB will now square off against the democratic winner, Rebecca L. Nelson and looks forward to the election on November 2nd.

    JB would like to thank each and every friend and supporter who were so generous contributing their time to help with his campaign and thank everyone who cast their vote for him. He also would like send out a "big thank you" to everyone who made a financial contribution that actually made his campaign possible. He promises to work hard to help make Maryland a better state in which to live, work and play. JB was the only legislator who did not miss a single floor vote during the last eight years.

  • 9/14/2010 Jim's Grandson Wins 7th District Senate Race

    JB Jennings was elected to the Maryland State Senate on November 2, 2010 by a 32% margin over his opponent. JB (Gary's son and Jim's grandson) had served in the House of Delegates for the past eight years serving a diverse district beginning with Middle River....running to Harford county, Long Green and ending in the Hunt Valley area. JB also serves in the Maryland Air National Guard.

    Governor Robert Ehrlich spent the morning talking to area business people on subjects pertaining to how to make Maryland more business friendly. He also talked about the possibility of the current administration adding sales tax to labor which would increase the cost of auto repairs since it is now only applied to parts.

    Before the Governor spoke, he took a tour of our repair center and chatted with each member of our staff. He was met with a very warm reception from our staff as well as many other repair shop owners who came to hear his views on "how to make Maryland more business friendly"
