After taking my car to another mechanic (one I used to love, but had been sold a few years back - won't mention any names) because of a rattling sound and burning rubber smell, they told me it sounded like I'd need a new transmission and clutch which could cost $4,000. He even said I might consider getting rid of the car (it's a 2009 Honda Fit with only 90K miles). I took it to Jennings. JC and I drove around until he could replicate the sound, and then he put it up on the lift. A piece of metal was bent and touching the exhaust pipe. It was so obvious even I could see it and thin enough that I could bend it. I left with a quiet, smell- free car and was not charged. They also have a list of recommended mechanics, which is a great help. If my transmission does fail some day, I'll know where to go.
